Me and my wife just came back from Las Vegas where we stayed at Elara, a Hilton Grand Vacations Hotel-Center Strip. Now this was my 50th birthday, so I chose a Hotel and location that would provide me with a fun experience of reaching this milestone.
In most cases when travelers is accompanied by a loved one, or family members they review the Hotel based on their total experience.
At all reference points when you check into Hotels in Las Vegas you find info on what’s going on in the Hotel and what’s going on outside the Hotel. You find guidebooks with restaurants, bars, parties, tours, shows and valuable city tips. Most Hotels also provide coupons for happenings in the Hotel, and there is also coupon books for happenings in the City.
Most customer today when they plan a romantic trip to Vegas wants to have access to this information ahead of their trip.
Now the clue here is to collaborate with a know and recognized Travel Channel, or even better the travelers themselves. Yes, we have to hide the OTA demons for a while and find creative ways to bring the New Media Customer to the Hotel. Many OTAs does a brillant job in connecting with the travelers. Hotels should pay attention, and learn from them.
The Expedia Vegas Week is a great way to collaborate and push out a promotion through Social Networks.
And then you have a Vegas, Baby! moment.
