Your hotel’s on-page optimization is a process in which different components of a web page start getting noticed by the search engines for specific keywords. It is one of the fundamental steps of your SEO campaign.

It works on your website page for improving the ranking in the SERPs. Various factors involved in the on-page optimization are controlled by the coding on the page or the webmaster. It is the foundation for the success of your SEO campaign. On-page optimization improves the visibility of your website in the search results.

Without it, your website will not be found by search engines. On-page optimization also plays a vital role in the website getting authority and it leads to missing out on website traffic. Here are some on-page optimization techniques for higher rankings.

1. Having proper content on the website pages

The content you have on your website needs to be relevant and unique as it is the primary thing the search engines look for. Your ranking in the SERPs is dependent on the webpage content.

This content needs to be engaging enough for the users to get attracted to it. The search engines penalize the sites that are not updated regularly with the right information. Webmasters need to ensure that the content on the site is logical and contains the keywords that will help the site become traceable.

2. Heading tags

The various headings used on a page are created by using the <hn> tag. Here n can be any number between 1 and 6. Normally there are six fonts used for the heading. You need to use h2, h3, and h4 tags for your headings and subheadings.

The h1 tag is to be used just once for the title. Keep in mind not to use the h2 and h3 tags too frequently as you may get penalized by Google for using negative SEO practices. For instance, <h1>Heading</h1>. You can use the services of an SEO company for getting the technical stuff done.

3. Title tags

The title tags are HTML tags used for defining text or title of search listings that are on top of the web browsers. These titles need to be accurate and must provide a brief description of the page content. The title should not exceed 65 characters.

The title tag is necessary for all websites and their pages and every page needs to have a separate title tag. The title tags play a significant role in the on-page optimization for search engines.

4. Structure of the URL and Meta description tags

Another significant aspect of SEO is the URL structure and it should contain important keywords. You need to maintain the URL self-descriptive, short, and rich with keywords. The Meta description tag is intended to be a brief description of the content on your page that can be utilized by the search engines.

You need to add a relevant and unique meta description that is related to the content on the page. In this description, you must use related keywords. The length of characters for the description should be less than 150 characters including the spaces. Meta description needs to be able to provide a greater CTR or Click Through Rate.

5. Keyword density

It is the number of keywords or keyword phrases that will appear on the pages of your website. You can have 1.5% density with a mixture of LSI keywords and it will be ideal for the page.

You may try using the main keyword once in the first paragraph and then again somewhere in the last paragraph. You may use font styles such as italic, bold, and underline the important text.

6. CSS and HTML validation

It is necessary to have a proper CSS and HTML validation done for the sites to enhance the UI experience for the site visitors.

Any website with proper CSS and HTML validation can remove all the glitches and bugs. It also enhances the user experience.

7. Alt tags

For increasing the ranking of a web page it is necessary to attract more traffic by using images that are using relevant and correct Alt tags for particular keywords. You can add the targeted keywords in the alt text of the image and its image name.

Images make your blogs more interesting. Look out for small to medium-sized images as larger images will slow down the speed of the website.
